    The Future.

    -Market has tanked and fear runs amuck.
    -Tesla reports record revenues, record profits and margins blowing expectations out of the water.
    -The stock pops 10% in a day and singlehandedly reboots the market.
    -Elon talks about both the Cybertruck launch and announces the new smaller Model E.

    -Analysts rerun all their numbers and realize that Tesla is better than $AMZN, better than $AAPL....better than any company that has ever existed as far as maximizing both margins and massive manufacturing scale. Price Target upgrades abound as Tesla regains its climb to $2,000 in 2022.

    Before you post another line on this board….look at your iPhone. Do you NEED or WANT an update? Either way you answer this question will be how tens of millions will follow through this calendar year. Bullish on $AAPL

    $200 easily by ER next week. I believe $AAPL earnings are going to very good with iPhone sales helping a lot. While it was reported that Apple had to cut back production due to supply issues, that doesn't mean the sales weren't made during the quarter...just that customers just had to wait to receive their shipment. The sales were still made within the quarter, which will help with numbers. Add to that M-chip driven sales of desktops/laptops, as that is a technical powerhouse for hardware, and I know many people/businesses that upgraded due to the performance advantages of the new M architecture. Keep buying. Keep holding.

    I am now with MSFT and the rest of the FANG stocks are sell for me at least for a while. I believe MSFT is going to be winner since they are going to be major force in MetaWorld after ATVI deal imo.. They better start taking gaming as a serious gamechanger. GL2 All.

    Earnings are coming out next week. The interest rate excuses is FUD for institutions to pick up cheap shares. Don't fall for it. Wall street is buying up shares of $MSFT, $AAPL, and $AMD, all of whom report next week. And market expects them to have good ERs.
    AMD and MSFT - Jan 25th, Tuesday
    AAPL - Jan 27th, Thursday
    Keep buying. Keep holding.

    I won't sell my shares, I'll stay long with MSFT and $AAPL. Stocks will eventually rebound in time. Be patient - it's an important investing skill.

    Dow Jones Nasdaq turned red as Powell talked but turned out that there is no need to hike up the rate, at least not for now. $GRTS $TSLA $AAPL and most other stocks jumped in the after market. It looks like bull will continue to run until further notice.

    This is why I told you to buy as much as you can of $MSFT, $AAPL, and $AMD. All up closing in the green as expected. All three recovered nicely and only going to get better next week. Stay long and keep telling yourself: The FUD is unsustainable. Keep buying. Keep holding.

    Selling of Nvidia, $AMD, $MSFT and $AAPL during this correction is one of the biggest investment mistakes that long-term investors can make. When these great companies start to rise, you will regret that you have sold your shares because you will need substantial amount of luck to correctly determine when you will buy again. Don't sell longs, be patient!

    I am a long tech retail investor. I've been investing regularly in $AAPL and $MSFT since June 2020 - just buying and never sold any shares. Although I am familiar with google, I spent couple of days to determine whether I'll add it in my portfolio. So today, I started a small position in google, took the opportunity to buy while in dip. Good luck to all longs!!!

    Who cares if the Fed raises rates? Why does that matter?

    This fixation on rates doesn’t make sense.

    If you have an incredible business, something you really think can earn substantial amounts in the future, do you really care if the discount rate is 1.7%, 2.25% or 3%? Does it really make sense to invest in fixed income or non-interest-bearing assets when you can buy equities producing 20%+ ROA, 30%+ ROIC and 50%+ ROE?

    Discount any cash flow stream by e-rt and you will see precisely what I mean.

    $100e(-.017)(1) = $98.31
    $100e(-.0225)(2) = $95.60
    $100e(-.03)(3) = $91.39

    𝝨 = 285.3

    What if rates went even higher? What if they went from 1.7% to 5%?

    $100e(-.017)(1) = $98.31
    $100e(-.03)(2) = $94.18
    $100e(-.05)(3) = $86.07

    𝝨 = $278.56

    Scenario 2, which I doubt anyone expects to happen, represents a decline of only $6.74 or a 2.36% discount overall from Scenario 1. This is exactly the point.

    The earnings power of $AAPL $MSFT $FB $AMZN and other best-in-class equities is vastly superior to 95% of other investment opportunities. These miniscule changes in yields are irrelevant.

    Yes, a higher risk-free rate will eventually diminish the value of equities – but right now, in January 2022, opportunity abounds. In fact, I think the SP 500 could surge 27% to 6000 by end of this year.

    Good luck!
